In partnership with Salt Design Studio, our team proposed a new play area with a sculptural sprayscape for this City of Philadelphia project. The existing lawn extends into the paved area to soften the experience and capture rainwater. No longer just a summer fountain, the new landscape is both attractive year round and functional without the water turned on. Since the play equipment is in good condition, we proposed a rejuvenating coat of fresh, high-durability paint. A palette of vibrant tropical colors for the play equipment and safety surface enlivens this urban space.

In partnership with Salt Design Studio we proposed a pavilion as part of a new masterplan for Muhammad Park. The pavilion serves as an open air classroom as well as a stage for community events. Under it's shade, people witness rain being captured from the roof and directed into a raingarden, and so the pavilion creates an educational vignette about stormwater management.
